This 3 day festival of spoken word, celebrated  emerging homegrown talent from the Show Don't Tell Collective - mentored by Polarbear, Charlie Dark's 'WordSoundPower' and Apples & Snakes' 'The Word's a Stage.'

The design for Rooted stemmed from the poets themselves. With spoken word artists, their use of words and lyrical tone seems to flow so easily that as an audience member you often don't realise the hard work and effort given to each sentence.

I wanted to highlight all the things that help inspire or create stunning spoken word performances; the late nights, the rough drafts, the inspiring people, places, objects, the journey... the very first blank page.
